LOK SAMYA PARTY believes in the eternal principle that all people are equal and must be treated equally. Equality forms the foundation of democratic and inclusive societies. From time immemorial, our Indian culture and philosophy has not only accepted the concept of equality but also followed it in practice by accepting all paths of seeking truth as valid.
In naming our party we used the word “LOK” which means people and “SAMYA” which mean equality; thus, deriving our fundamental principle of “equality for all”. We believe that equality is the bedrock of all other values emphasised in our constitution namely – Justice, Liberty, Fraternity.
We believe, we need a new resolve, a new way of thinking, honestly and effectively doing things to make India a great nation. As the first fundamental step, we want to radically change the Indian politics and political discourse. The root of transformation of India is in the transformation of its political system. Therefore, common people need to pro-actively get involved in the selection of candidates, formulation of policies, principle and ethics of governance, to pursue meaningful transformation.
